1990 Michael Dokes Signed Fight-Worn Robe
Michael Marshall Dokes (August 10, 1958 – August 11, 2012) was a former American boxer in the heavyweight division, nicknamed "Dynamite." He won the NABF Heavyweight Title from Lynn Ball on January 30, 1982 and the Continental Americas Heavyweight Title on March 15, 1985 in a bout with Tex Cobb. Dokes became WBA heavyweight champion in 1982 by knocking out Mike Weaver in the first round. Offered here is a fight-worn robe of Michael Dokes, purported to be from his fight with Razor Ruddock in 1990. The calf-length robe is made of white satin with red trim and red sash. It has been signed by Dokes, "To My Friend Bob!! Michael Dokes "Dynamite" Champion 82'-83'." Shows some wear and soiling. Scarce robe of a heavyweight champion.
