1990 Nolan Ryan Game Worn Uniform
Second only to Cy Young's 511 wins, Nolan Ryan's career record of 5,714 strike outs seems the pitching mark least likely to ever fall. The guy was just superhuman on the mound, and holding any piece of game used memorabilia from the Hall of Fame Texan in your hands is truly thrilling. This was a particularly strong season for the man with the 100 m.p.h. fastball too, as his 323 K's was his best tally in over a dozen seasons. Home white jersey shows nice use, with "Rangers 34" across chest and "Ryan 34" on back. "W.A. Goodman & Sons [size] 44" tagging in collar is a bit unusual (we're used to seeing sizes 45 or 46), but he must have requested a slightly smaller size for some reason. The matching pants, purchased with the jersey, are exactly as we're accustomed, with size "34" tagging and strip tag in waistband reading "Ryan 34-25 '90 Set 1." Use is good here too. NRMT blue sharpie inscription on jersey reads, "Nolan Ryan, K King, 5,714."
