1990 Rickey Henderson Autographed Game Worn Jersey
A finer example doesn't exist from the Man of Steal. From his 1990 MVP season. Two reasons why he is the all-time stolen base king are displayed all over the front of this shirt. Speed and hustle manifested in the form of caked in dirt from the infield, the result of sliding into a base for which he was actually called out. He has added the sentiment, "Game used - I was safe" to his black sharpie signature on the back. "Athletics" across the chest in green on yellow tackle twill lettering and his number "24" below the left breast. Verso is “Henderson” on arched nameplate and “24” below. Left sleeve bears the Athletics’ elephant head with two bats patch. Right sleeve with embroidered “R” for Russell. Tagging on front left tail is “Russell Diamond collection [size] 42” with “100% polyester” flag tag. Jersey looks to have been used for multiple games, judging from the use and wear. The veteran has probably one more season left in him. Next stop: Hall of Fame. Jersey was obtained directly from Henderson.
