1990s "Tortoise and the Hare" Illustration Set by Virgil Ross
From the noted Bugs Bunny send-up of the fable of the Tortoise and the Hare, these 1990s set of three illustrations was created by by Virgil Ross. Each has the same images, drawn by Ross in pencil and colored pencil, featuring Bugs and Cecil Turtle. One shows progression with blue woods background, each measures 10.5x25". Ross was an untitled animator on the original 1941 classic short, titled "Tortoise Beats Hare."
