1991-95 Ozzie Smith St. Louis Cardinals Signed Game Used Bat (PSA GU 7.5)

1991-95 Ozzie Smith St. Louis Cardinals Signed Game Used Bat (PSA GU 7.5)

Ozzie Smith was a crowd-pleasing, acrobatic shortstop for the St. Louis Cardinals. Though he started with the San Diego Padres, Smith (a.k.a. “The Wizard of Oz”) established himself as one of the league’s premier shortstops during his 15-year tenure with the Cards (1982 to ‘96). This lot offers one of Smith’s signed and game-used Louisville Slugger Professional Model (C235) bats that he used between 1991 and ‘95 when he averaged hitting .265. The uncracked bat, which exhibits light use, measures 34 inches long and weighs 29.8 ounces. The number "1" (Smith’s uniform number) is written in black on the knob for identification purposes. Smith signed the lower portion of the bat’s barrel in black and added the inscription “Good Luck! Best Wishes!” above his signature. The bat comes with a PSA GU 7.5 LOA for use and a PSA LOA for the signature.
