1991 Darryl Strawberry Los Angeles Dodgers Signed Game Used Hat
Displayed is a 1991 Darryl Strawberry game worn Los Angeles Dodgers hat. Darryl Strawberry was a Los Angeles native who played 17 years in the Major Leagues: New York Mets (1983-90), Los Angeles Dodgers (1991-93), San Francisco Giants (1994), and New York Yankees (1995-99). The 6'5" left-handed batting outfielder used his height and sweet swing to generate great power, and he crashed 335 career home runs. Strawberry had enormous potential and he was the National League Rookie of the Year with the Mets in 1983. He was an 8-time All-Star and won two Silver Slugger Awards and was a part of three World Champions. The Dodgers went 93-69 and finished second in the NL West in 1991. Strawberry had a great season as he hit 28 home runs and drove in 99. The offered cap is blue, with an interlocking "LA" on the front. Three tags are on the back interior hatband: 1) "Authentic Diamond Collection Major League Baseball." 2) "New Era Major League Pro Model." 3) Size "7 & 1/8." Strawberry has used black ink from a marker to sign and inscribe the underneath of the cap's bill. He signed his name and added "1991." The hat is in very good condition and shows excellent game use. There are sweat stains on the hatband and on the interior. The "squatchee" (the small button on top) and the bill also show slight, game appropriate, staining. The Strawberry game worn Dodgers cap can be a conversation starter in any collection.
