1992 Lester Patrick Award Presented to Art Berglund
One of hockey's most prestigious awards, the Lester Patrick Trophy is presented annually to someone who makes a key contribution to hockey in the United States. Named after the former New York Rangers player and coach who helped develop the sport, the stately award was handed out in 1992 to executive Art Berglund, whose International career spanned over five decades as an administrative staffer for over 30 teams in the U.S. This bronze figure of Lester Patrick sits atop a wooden base with a plaque on front that is engraved: "LESTER PATRICK AWARD ART BERGLUND 1992." There is a Boffy sticker on the bottom of the base and the entire trophy measures 11" tall and 5.5" wide, It is in EX-MT to NM condition and comes to us directly from Art Berglund. Players, coaches, referees, and executives are eligible to receive the trophy, the winners of which are chosen by a committee consisting of various officials, including the NHL Commissioner.
