1993 Nolan Ryan Game Worn Complete Uniform with Letter From Ryan
In his five seasons as a Texas Ranger, career, late-blooming, pitcher Nolan Ryan completed many feats: his 5,000th strikeout (<i>the</i> first ever!), his 300th win, his 8th All-Star Team selection, and <i>two</i> no-hitters (of his career seven - a Major League record!) in 1990 and 1991. Bitter sweetly, he also retired from baseball with Texas in 1993. This is all to say that Ryan’s tenure with the Rangers was special, had many milestones set, and harbored his great skills in a sentimental swan song. It is an honor to present this 1993 uniform - a complete dazzler! Home white jersey with "Rangers 34" on the front and "Ryan 34" on the back. The "Ryan" is sewn directly on to the jersey. Rangers 20th Anniversary patch on the left sleeve. Goodman size 44 tag in collar, with Set 2/18 1993 tag in front tail. Jersey shows use and is signed (9/10) by him in blue Sharpie on the front. Matching pants, Goodman size 34, with "Ryan 34-25 '93 Set 1" strip tag. Also signed in 9/10 blue Sharpie. Blue belt is stamped "34". New Era size 7 1/4 cap, shows sweat stains inside, and has "34" in black marker under the visor, which is also signed (9/10) with a silver paint pen. Lastly, this amazing ensemble includes Nolan's blue leggings and white stockings. Comes with 1993 letter on Nolan Ryan letterhead stating that this complete uniform was "worn on April 14, 1993 in Arlington". Further, states that the proceeds will benefit the construction of the Ryan Center on Alvin Community College. Signed "Nolan Ryan." As good as it gets!
