1995 Bernie Williams Game Worn Jersey
New York Yankee outfielder Bernie Williams knows that good things comes to those who wait, after signing with the Yankees in 1985, it wasn’t until 1993, after several years in the Minors, that Williams got to prove himself, and 1995, the year this tan road jersey was fastened up, was a stellar one for him, leading his team in runs, hits, total bases and stolen bases, not to mention his 18 home runs that season. After losing to the Mariners in the American League Division Series, Williams and his Yankees would return in 96 for a World Series title (and three consecutive titles for ’98, ’99 and 2000) and the beginning of new pin-striped dynasty. Road jersey has "New York" on the front and "51" on the back. Russell tag in front tail (size 46), along with 100% Polyester and 1" Extra Length flag tags. "B. Williams 95" also on tag in front tail, though this shirt is so hammered with use that the name and year are barely visible in on the tag. Heavy use. Mickey Mantle #7 and black armband has been removed from the left sleeve, where it once rested in remembrance of the Yankee great who died that year.
