1996-97 Kobe Bryant Los Angeles Lakers Game Worn Jersey
He was controversial and destined to be a Laker from the beginning. Drafted by the Hornets with the 13th pick, Bryant refused to play for Charlotte and pretty much forced his way to LA. This gold jersey was worn by Bryant during his rookie season. Champion size 44 manufacturer's label on the front tail with "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Los Angeles Lakers - Body Lengh +3" tag adjacent to it. The "Designed & Tailored" tag reads 95/96 as this was a very early jersey worn by Bryant that was probably left over from the previous season. "100% Nylon" tag on the inside seam has a "B" written in faded ink on it. The red, white and blue NBA logo has been sewn over with gold thread. "LAKERS 8" appears on the front with "BRYANT 8" sewn onto the back. The name and numbers are sewn on in a smaller stitch then the Lakers as Lakers are sent blank jerseys. This was most likely one of Kobe's first jerseys. Light use.
