1996 Derek Jeter Signed Rookie Glove
This black Rawlings glove was signed by Derek Jeter on the inside of the fourth finger in silver marker. It is a Gold Glove Series glove, with a Basket-Web on the inside, Model PRO-5XBCB. This was a retail glove, and many, including this glove, were given to Jeter and used in Spring training in '96. Jeter is considered to be one of the best players of his generation, so this is a great piece available of baseball history in-the-making. The glove shows nice Spring Training use and is a perfect example of a game-used Derek Jeter glove. Some wear is evident on the inside and outer edges of the fingertips. Jeter started with the Major Leagues in 1995, and won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1996, helping the Yanks win the '96 World Series.
