1996 New York Yankees World Series Trophy (12")

1996 New York Yankees World Series Trophy (12")

Down 2 games to 0 against the Braves in the 1996 World Series, the Yankees won three in a row on the road in Atlanta before coming home to the Bronx to clinch the series. Thus began their dynastic run of four World Championships in five years and firmly reinforcing the franchise as the most successful team in modern sports. These regal trophies were awarded to the players, coaches and front office of the Yankees. Produced by Balfour and standing at a height of 12" with a diameter of 23", this trophy features 28 gold-colored pennants, bearing the team name of each Major League franchise at the time, displayed around the perimeter of the black wooden base. The interior metal design consists of a silver baseball, set within a gold band, atop which rests a crown. Displayed directly in front of this are the 1996 World Series press pins for the Yankees and the Braves. EX/MT Condition.
