1996 Pittsburgh Steelers Hand-painted Game Ball
The Steelers beat the Buffalo Bills, 24-6 in Week 3 of the 1996 NFL season in a nationally-televised Monday night game. This offensive game ball was painted and signed by offensive tackle John Jackson and features the date of the game (September 16, 1996) as well as the game score, Three Rivers Stadium demarcation and colorful team logo. The signature in black 6/10 Sharpie is a bit faded, and there are pen marks around the laces. The Steelers went 10-6 that season and won their first playoff game before falling to the New England Patriots in the second round.
