1997 Alfonso Soriano Hiroshima Toyo Carp Jersey & Jacket
Brilliant young New York Yankees star got his start with the Japanese Hiroshima Carp (1996-97). Luckily, he is destined to be in New York for a long time! Beautiful Carp jersey is white mesh with “Carp 74” stitched in red lettering on front. “Soriano 74” on verso. “Hiroshima” embroidered onto left sleeve. Strong use with dirt stains on front, sleeves and verso. Tagged on inside of back tail with “Descente Professional” and a strip tag (partially in Japanese) with year “97” & number “74”. Red, gray & black zip-up jacket with “Carp 74” stitched onto left breast, Mizuno logo on right. “Mizuno” on shoulders. Tagged with “Mizuno” in collar. Care tag in Japanese inside left seam. A great piece of memorabilia from Soriano’s early days in baseball. Sky’s the limit!
