On June 21, 1987, at Resorts International in Atlantic City heavyweights Carl "The Truth" Williams and Bert Cooper battled for the vacant United States Boxing Association title. Williams prevailed stopping Cooper in the 8th round to win the crown. Offered here is the original championship belt given to Williams for his victory. The belt has three plates which rest on a black leather with red velvet sash. The outer plates, with original stones are blank. Center plate with eagle atop has the USBA logo on a beautiful enamel background. 44" long. Signed and dated on sash by Carl "The Truth" Williams. Some scratches, otherwise fine. Includes original metallic carrying case. This belt is a true work of art and wonderful display item.
