1997 John Smoltz Atlanta Braves Signed Game Used Hat Attributed to NLCS (Coach COA)
Hall of Fame right-hander John Smoltz was one of the rare pitchers who excelled as both a starter and reliever, compiling 213 wins and 154 saves in 21 seasons. The eight-time All-Star reportedly wore this navy and red Braves cap with white "A" during the 1997 NLCS, and signed his name on the top bill, and number on the underside. We cannot confirm or deny that it was used in that series, which resulted in the Marlins upsetting Atlanta en route to their first World Series title, but the cap does come with an LOA from Braves bench coach Jim Beauchamp stating Smoltz did, in fact, wear it during that series.
