The Silver Slugger Award is presented annually to the best offensive player at each position in both the American and National League as determined by the coaches and managers of Major League Baseball. In 1997, Juan Gonzalez once again was awarded the Hillerich & Bradsby Silver Slugger Award. Other American League recipients that year were Martinez, Knoblauch, Garciaparra, Williams, Griffey Jr., Justice, Rodriguez and Martinez. Obtained directly from Juan Gonzalez, this prestigious award is signed on the back and reads, "Juan Gonzalez, My Original Silver Slugger." All original and EX-MT condition.
