1997 Mark McGwire Game Worn Jersey
Only the gods themselves could have known the mark that McGwire would make on the baseball world. The highly sought after slugger joined the Cardinals during the 1997 season, and would proceed to make history by breaking the NL record for most consecutive 50 HR seasons. But no accomplishment could ever eclipse what he would do the following year. Home white St. Louis Cardinals jersey was worn by McGwire during the 1997 regular season, displaying all the characteristics of a typical Mark McGwire gamer. Nicely embroidered "Cardinals" team logo spans the chest along with two Cardinals perched on baseball bat. Back is "McGwire" across arched nameplate with his number "25" below. Right sleeve bears the Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary patch. All proper tagging includes "Rawlings" label on the inside left tail with [size] 52 tag below along with "25 97 2". Shows light but definite use. LOA. A tough year for McGwire material, as he only played 51 games with the Cardinals.
