1997 Mark McGwire St. Louis Cardinals Signed Game Used Jersey
This Cardinals jersey was worn in 1997 by slugger McGwire during his inaugural year with St. Louis - a season that distinguished the first baseman as the home run king (58) in the major leagues without being recognized as such in either the A.L. or N.L. because of his mid-season trade from Oakland. Home white jersey has the Cardinals logo and number 25 on the front while "MC GWIRE" is sewn on a plate on the back with "25" below. Signed on the back in 8/10 black Sharpie. Jackie Robinson patch on the right sleeve and Cardinals Care Labor Day patch on the left sleeve. Rawlings size 52 and “Set 1 1997” tagging inside the front tail. Light but definite use. This jersey was worn on September 1, 1997 and comes with an LOA from the Cardinals.
