1997 Mike Piazza Game Worn Los Angeles Dodgers Jersey
Mike's last full season as a Dodger was the finest of his career. That year, while donning this jersey, he finished second in the MVP voting after he hit .362, with 40 home runs, 124 runs batted in, and an on base percentage of .431 and a slugging percentage of .638. The grey "road" specimen has "Dodgers 31" sewn to the chest and "Piazza 31" on the reverse, all in tackle-twill. On the left sleeve is a "Jackie Robinson 20th Anniversary-Breaking The Barrier" patch (different from all of the other MLB team's), and the inner tail has "Russell Athletic [size] 50", and "1997" tags with "100 % Polyester" and "2" Extra Length" flag tags. Overall, the jersey displays nice use, and is soft from multiple wearings and washings. All in all, a fine shirt from this future Hall of Famer. LOA.
