1998 Mark McGwire Historic 62nd Home Run Game Used and Signed Baseball (PSA)
Game used baseball from the 1998 contest in which Mark McGwire crashed his 62nd home run of the season, breaking the single-season record held by Roger Maris. This keepsake hearkens back to that year's amazing chase between McGwire and Sammy Sosa, with the St. Louis Cardinals' slugger hitting the mark first on September 8, before finishing with 70 round-trippers on the season. Official National League (Coleman) ball shows use and is signed on the sweet spot in black ballpoint pen along with "STL 25," and is inscribed on a near panel, "RED HR Record - #62 - 9-8-98." This is all in McGwire's hand as he presented baseballs to his teammates from that game; this one was given to coach Red Schoendienst. Comes with full PSA letter for the signature.
