1998 Michael Jordan Signed "Mr. June" Limited Edition Letter Display 161/423 (UDA)

Michael Jordan signed limited-edition letter and photo collection, issued together by Upper Deck in a framed display. In 1998 Upper Deck made 423 of these pieces available to collectors, the highlight of which was a personally addressed letter to the recipient signed by Michael Jordan. The letter provides the historical context for the four accompanying 5x7" color photos of Jordan, each picturing him during what he feels were four milestone events during his career: 1) his game-winning shot against Georgetown in the 1982 N.C.A.A Basketball Championsip; 2) his first NBA Championship in 1991 against the Los Angeles Lakers; 3) his first NBA game in 1995 after coming back from retirement to pursue a baseball career; and 4) his 1995-1996 season with the Bulls in which the team won 72 regular-season games and their fourth NBA Championship. The letter is signed by Jordan in blue ink (grading 8/10) and is hand-numbered "161/423" in the lower left corner. A Michael Jordan "Mr. June" label is affixed to the letter in the lower right corner. The letter (8x9.75") and each of the photos are in apparent Mint condition. An Upper Deck hologram label (affixed to the letter) and corresponding COA accompany the piece. Total dimensions: 41x16.5". Please note: the size and/or weight of this lot willnecessitate an increased shipping charge.
