1998 Mike Piazza Florida Marlins Game Issued Jersey
In May of 1998 an unexpected series of events landed Mike Piazza in South Florida with the Marlins. During his quick stint with the ballclub, Piazza played five games, three of which were on the road. In those games, Piazza went 5-for-18 with 5 RBIs and hitting one of his only 8 career triples. Here is a game issued size 50 plus 2", Marlins home white vest. This jersey displays proper tagging with "Piazza 31-50-98" printed under the Russell Athletic size tag. There is no wear displayed on this jersey as it was issued to Piazza but never used during a game. Across the front reads “Marlins” in teal on black and white tackle twill trim. Right below is the number “31” in black on white and teal tackle twill trim. On the back, there is the Russell “R” logo embroidered in teal and black. Across the back is the player name “Piazza” in black on teal tackle twill trim on a white nameplate. Underneath the nameplate is the "31" in black on white and teal tackle twill trim.
