1998 USA Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Participation Ring Presented to Art Berglund
Part of the Art Berglund Collection, this beautiful 10k gold ring by Artcarved was presented to Berglund for his role with the 1998 USA Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team. Expectations were high for the Americans entering the 1998 Nagano games but they failed to deliver on that promise; the team was bounced out in the quarterfinals and infamously trashed their hotel rooms during the event. Despite Team USA's lackluster performance, the ring is anything but. The top features the logo for the Nagano Olympics with the words "XVIII OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES" encircling it. It is size 12 1/2, weighs 15.8 grams, and is in Near Mint condition. Engraved inside is "A.B. USA Ice Hockey" (A.B. standing for Art Berglund).
