19th Century Baseball Silken Duvet

19th Century Baseball Silken Duvet

Magnificent illustration art, duvet over pillow textile, similar to artist Philip Boileau, who did many of the stunning postcards of the era, and publisher's Allen and Ginter. Depicts an Edwardian beauty with her hair up framing her face, the typical American Beauty of the day in a baseball cap and uniform with a man's tie - which was probably especially provocative for that time when women's skirts ended at the ankle. Around the perimeter are cards, with comic and meaningful sports images of the era. Measures 23x46" and is in NRMT condition.
