2000 New York Yankees Subway Series Team Signed Bat
New York sports fans are as conflicted as they are passionate. Whether it be over Jets vs. Giants, Rangers vs. Islanders, or Mets vs. Yankees, New Yorkers love arguing the merits of their own favored team and, even moreso, talking down the other. On rare occasions, these NY fans get to have their faith in their chosen heroes put to the test when their teams meet each other at the championships. The most famous of these battles, the Subway Series, is a rare event that sets the entire state into a frenzy when it occurs. In 2000, the NY fans got their wish, and the Mets and Yankees met for a five game series, with the Yanks coming out on top. This bat, a 34", 32oz. Rawlings Adirondack bat, complete with Adirondack's famous stripe at the bottom of the barrel, features 35 signatures from the Series-winning 2000 Yankees. All signed in uniform blue Sharpie, this blonde-wood club has the names of such Yankees greats as Joe Torre, Mariano Rivera, Bernie Williams, and Paul O'Neil. Additionally, it has three Steiner holograms and one "Guaranteed Authentic" hologram stuck to the barrel. LOA's included with this lot<br>
