2001 Alfonso Soriano New York Yankees Game Worn "Rookie" Uniform
Marvelous opportunity to earn a game used 2001 New York Yankees "rookie" set - jersey and pants - from the first full MLB season of popular infielder Alfonso Soriano. Pinstriped jersey is button front with the iconic interlocking NY in navy on the left breast, number 33 in navy is on black, and MLB 100th Anniversary patch on right shoulder. Russell Athletic, 100% polyester Size 46, and 2" extra length tagging is on the left front tail of the jersey, which shows moderate use. Pants have a snap waist and show heavier use with a team repair, tagging in waistband is 1" IN WAIST, Russell size 34, and strip tag listing "33-Soriano-33/36-30-01." Though Soriano had brief stints in the Bronx totaling 31 games in 1999 and 2000, his first full season was '01, in which he finished 3rd in Rookie-of-the-Year balloting, thus earning the rookie designation. Soriano won four Silver Slugger awards in his 16 MLB seasons, during which he accumulated 412 home runs.
