2001 Angel Berroa Complete Uniform
The Dominican shortstop won the AL Rookie of the Year award in 2003, but even in a brief trial at the tail end of the 2001 season his competitive fire burned hot, as can be seen by the damage left on the uniform he donned. Black jersey has "Royals" and "4" on front, "Berroa" and "4" on back in blue on white tackle twill. Royals patch on left sleeve. Front left tail tagging is Russell Athletic with size 46 and "+1" Sleeve Length" flag tags. Good use. Gray pants have Russell Athletic size 36 tag and "10-Berroa-36/36-32-01" label in waistband. Extensive damage in seat and left leg with shredding and dime-sized hole on knee. Blue New Era size 7 3/8 "KC" cap has hand-written notations in black marker on underside of bill reading in Spanish "Everything I put in Christ, he gives me the strength, "First God then my family then my team" and "b.g.a. thanks." Sweat stains evident. Also includes black leather belt with number "4" written on underside in black marker.
