2001 Barry Bonds Signed 500th Home Run Full Ticket PSA NM-MT 8 (Pop 1 - Two Higher)
On April 17, 2001, Barry Bonds became the seventeenth member of baseball's exclusive 500 Club when he homered off Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Terry Adams. The blast occurred in the bottom of the Eighth Inning with none out, a man on third, a 2-0 count, and the Giants trailing the Dodgers 2-1. Bonds home run put the Giants ahead for good and ended the game's scoring. Bonds has the most home runs in MLB history as the former Pittsburgh Pirate and San Francisco Giant has 762. Second on the all-time homer list is Hank Aaon with 755, and Babe Ruth is third at 714. Bonds home run went out of the ballpark in right field, into the water of McCovey Cove. The hoer enabled Bonds to join former San Franscisco Giant star McCovey in the 500 Club. The shot also let Bonds join his godfather, former Giant Willie Mays, in the club. The ticket is priced at $10.00 for a seat in Section 137 in the bleachers. Bons signed the full ticket in blue ink by essentially writing between the names of the opposing teams printed on the ticket. The full ticket has been encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. Pop 1 with only two graded higher!
