2001 Fidel Castro Signed Award Document
This award document, translated from Spanish, reads, "Recognition is awarded to: Grisel A. Yanez Morejon. In the name of the Revolution we congratulate you for your participation in the University Brigade of Social Work which carries out excellent work in the neighborhoods of the capital. We wait for you, an active member, of the glorious University Student Protest Federation, (and) your cooperation in creating a new country, a society even much more just and humane which today is within reach of the new intelligent, selfless and courageous people." It is signed at the bottom by Fidel Castro Ruz, in the "City of Havana, July 26, 2001, 'Year of the Victorious Revolution in the New Millennium'". The 11.5x16.5" document has a few small creases, but is otherwise VG. Castro signed this piece in blue felt tip pen. There is a very slight smudge, but is overall graded an 8/10.
