2001 NLCS Game 5 Randy Johnson Signed Game Used Base (MLB & Steiner)
Game-used base from Game 5 of the 2001 National League Championship Series (NLCS) signed by Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Randy Johnson. Accompanied by hologram authentication labels from MLB and Steiner Sports, both of which are affixed on the underside. Johnson has signed the top of the base in black Sharpie (9/10), with the notation "NLCS Game 5 2001" printed directly below. Johnson was masterful in the Diamondbacks' five-game victory over the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS. Johnson won both his starts in the series, including Game 5, in which he defeated fellow future Hall of Famer Tom Glavine 3-2. Johnson later won two games in the Diamonbacks' seven-game win over the Yankees in the World Series. The rubber base (15x15x2"), which has the MLB logo one each side, displays light soiling consistent with its one-game use.
