2001 Season Dan Kreider Pittsburgh Steelers AFC Championship Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched, Resolution Photomatching LOA)

Fullback Dan Kreider was signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2000 and spent eight years in the Steel City. Though he joined the team with little fanfare, the University of New Hampshire grad outperformed fellow first-year players Plaxico Burress and Marvel Smith in 2000 and was named the Steelers' Rookie of the Year. As starting fullback in Super Bowl XL, Kreider provided a key block to allow Big Ben the chance to run in a key touchdown that would ultimately end in a Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Championship. This black, home jersey was donned by Kreider during his sophomore season in 2001. "KREIDER" appears sewn in bold gold letters on a black name plate on the back of the jersey, while his number "35" can be found stitched in white on the front, back, and both shoulders. A tag inside the collar reads "01-46" denoting the year the Reebok jersey was made, as well as its size. The uniform has endured great use, with nine repairs to the shoulders and lots of other abrasions. Photo-matched to the AFC Championship Game on January 27th, 2002 against the New England Patriots. Comes with LOA from Resolution Photomatching. All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research
