2001 Vladimir Guerrero Montreal Expos Signed Game Used Bat (PSA GU 8.5)
<p>Displayed is a game used bat from Hall of Fame right fielder Vladimir Guerrero, Sr. The senior Guerrero hit .318 lifetime, with 449 home runs, playing mostly for the Montreal Expos and the Los Angeles Angels. In the year this bat was used, 2001, the elder Guerrero hit 34 home runs and batted in 108. His son, Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. is now tearing up the American league for the Toronto Blue Jays. The younger Guerrero led the American League in home runs (48), runs (123), OBP (.401), Slugging (.601) and OPS (1.002). The bat is a Louisville Slugger Model Number T141 from 2001. The ash bat is 34.0 inches in length and weighs 31.3 ounces. According to the Letter of Grading and Authenticity provided by PSA/DNA, the Vladimir Guerrero professional model bat "exhibits evidence of excellent use with a crack in the center barrel. Several ball marks are visible on the right, left and back barrel." There are ball marks, including white leather scuffs. There is a light coat of pine tar on the upper handle. Guerrero's number (27) is written on the knob in fading silver marker. Also apparent is a ring from a weighted batting donut on the barrel. PSA/DNA offers no opinion on the authenticity of the autograph on the bat. The grade for the bat is PSA/DNA GU 8.5. This is an opportunity to possess a game used bat from a Hall of Famer with a son who already is a superstar as well. There should be enhanced interest in all things Guerrero for some time to come.</p>
