2002 Chris Richard Baltimore Orioles Signed Game Worn 9/11 Memorial Jersey (MLB)
Baltimore Orioles road jersey worn by first baseman Chris Richard in a 9/11 memorial game played at Yankee Stadium on September 11, 2002. Accompanied by an MLB hologram label (MT00102846), affixed to the left front tail, certifying its signed, game-used status. The gray knit jersey is lettered "Orioles" across the front and features the number "38" on the left breast and reverse. "Richard" is lettered on the reverse, directly above the number. All letters and numerals are applied in orange and black tackle twill. A rare 9/11 Memorial patch (in the shape of a pentagon) appears on the right sleeve, while a Baltimore Orioles team patch adorns the left sleeve. Located on the left front tail are a "Majestic" label and a "48" size tag. The jersey is original as issued and displays moderate wear. Richard was hitless in three at bats in the Orioles 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Yankees, in what was an emotional first-year anniversary of one of America's darkest moments.
