<p>2003 Albert Pujols game worn St. Louis Cardinals jersey from the third year of what is sure to be recognized as a Hall of Fame career. Left front tail has Majestic MLB Authentic, size 48, and 2003 year tagging, care instructions are sewn to inside seam; the button-front jersey is all-original, including the custom hand-trimming to the tail. Script Cardinals birds-on-bat design is across the chest with number 5 below left in red-on-black tackle twill. Name is arched across a plate on back above the number in same red-on-black style. Nice use is displayed. Pujols hit an amazing 30-or-more home runs in each of his first 12 seasons, including 43 with a league-leading .359 average in the '03 season in which this was worn. Two decades later, his quest to become just the fourth player in MLB history to reach the 700 career homer plateau was realized on September 23, 2022, and he added three more before retiring to join an ultra-elite class that includes only the likes of Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth, making him a virtual lock for a trip to Cooperstown when he becomes eligible in 2028.</p>
