2003 Albert Pujols Worn Signed Batting Practice Jersey
Has anyone ever begun a big-league career with a bigger bang than this guy? In fact, if not for the massive shadow of one Barry Bonds, the Cardinals' slugger may have won the MVP the last 3 years running -- his 1st 3 years in the bigs! And he's still just a growing boy! This jersey covered Pujols' broad back during the power shows he put on in BP during 2003, his 2nd season, though he hardly needed practice in racking up an amazing .359 average with 43 homers and 124 RBIs and also led the NL with 212 hits. The blazing red mesh jersey with black trimming has the team's famous logo of redbirds perched on a gold bat and "Cardinals" stitched across the chest. "Pujols" and "5" are on verso in white on black tackle twill. Pujols signed the top of the number "A. Pujols" in flowing black ink, grading 8/10. Light use. Jersey is custom hemmed at the bottom and came directly from a Pujols family member. Great keepsake of baseball's king in waiting.
