2003 Derek Jeter New York Yankees Signed Game Used Bat PSA GU 9.5
Derek Jeter Louisville Slugger pro-model ("P72") bat dating from the Yankees' 2003 pennant-winning season. Graded GU 9.5 by PSA. The bat, which measures 34 inches in length and weighs 31.5 ounces, displays outstanding use throughout. Numerous ball marks (with both blue-ink transfers and white-leather scuffs), stitch impressions, and cleat marks are evident along the barrel, and a heavy coat of Mota Stick has been applied to the handle. A crack in the handle has been professionally repaired. The bat also has a unique Yankees dugout feature: the black paint has been worn away at the top of the barrel. Manager Joe Torre had a habit Jeter's bats from the bat rack and anxiously rolling them on end during games. This bat was obviously one that Torre was rolling during a tense moment in a game. Jeter has signed the bat in silver paint pen (grading 9/10) on the sweet spot of the barrel. The Yankees' captain enjoyed another banner season in 2003, batting .324 with 10 home runs and 54 RBI. Those numbers helped lead the Yankees to another first-place finish in the division and their sixth pennant in eight years. This is an exceptional high-grade Jeter bat dating from the height of both his career and the Yankees' most recent dynasty. Full LOA from PSA (graded GU 9.5)
