2003 Marlins and Yankees Team Signed World Series Baseballs
It doesn't happen often in baseball when the paupers beat the princes, so the Marlins' 2003 World Series spanking of the rich kids in their nice pinstriped suits was a sort of fanfare for the common man (not that any of them were on welfare, either). In the end, it seems only pitching can turn logic on its head, and the Fish had 'em, most notably in Series MVP Josh Beckett and Brad Penny who allowed just five runs in 28 2/3 innings as the Marlins beat the heavily favored Bomb-outs 4 games to 2. These 2 great NRMT balls respectively signed by the two teams are perfect Series keepers. Official 2003 World Series Ball (w/MLB hologram) is signed by 33 Yankees including Jeter, Clemens, Rivera, Matsui, Clemens, Giambi, Posada, Wells, Williams, etc. Official Major League Ball has 31 Marlins including Rodriguez, Beckett, Lee, Willis, McKeon, Conine, Mordecai, Castillo, etc. Signatures are NRMT.
