2004 Nomar Garciaparra Game Worn Jersey
At a critical point in superstar shortstop Nomar Garciaparra’s baseball career, the two-time batting champ seemingly willed a divorce from his first family Boston Red Sox with injuries and a less than exuberant attitude that saw the 1997 Rookie of the Year missing nearly three months of play. This 2004 game-worn jersey may very well have seen some of the champ’s limited and lethargic game time before he was traded to the Chicago Cubs, and, ultimately, missed out on the magical and exhilarating World Series title that followed. This home jersey with "Red Sox" sewn individually on the front and #"5" on the back, is a Russell Athletic jersey, as is tagged in front tail, with size (44), date (2004) and “100% polyester.” Has moderate use, as tags are beginning to curl.
