2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox Team-Signed Bat
Capping a 98-64 season record with a 4-3 playoff defeat of the Yankees, the Red Sox went on to defeat the Cardinals in a 4-0 sweep, winning their first World Series since 1918. This team-signed bat features signatures of Manny Ramirez, Curt Schilling, Trot Nixon, Jason Varitek, Dave Ortiz and Johnny Damon. Others include Wakefield, Mueller, Millar, Francona, Foulke, Mientkiewicz, Roberts, Arroyo, Bellhorn, Myers, Jackson, Mirabelli, Leskanic, Kapler, Wallace and Jones. Signatures are in black and blue sharpie. The 33 3/4" Cooperstown bat has an 8 1/4" x 2 1/2" decal on the barrel "Boston Red Sox 1918 / 2004 World Series Champions. The Curse is Reversed" and a smaller decal lists the results of Yankees playoff and World Series. Both bat and signatures are NRMT-MT.
