2005 Curtis Martin Game Worn New York Jets Jersey
As this is being written, it seems quite likely that Gang Green fans worldwide have seen the last of their hero, Curtis Martin. After eight years of unparalleled service, the 4th leading rusher in NFL history, and the only the second man to start his career with ten consecutive 1,000+ yard seasons, may be forced to retire due to his ailing knee. Presented is his green home jersey worn during his final season of 2005, possibly one of the last he will ever wear as a professional. His number "28" is sewn to the chest, sleeves, and back in white tackle-twill, while "Martin" holds court on a matching green nameplate across the shoulders. The left front shoulder is embroidered with the "NY Jets" insignia and inside the collar is a "05-46" year/size screen printed plate. Tagging on the tail includes "Reebok" manufacturers tag, [size] "46" flag tag, and "6" L.B. flag tag. Finally, team repairs to the front chest and shoulder, as well as the back, along with an assortment of helmet scuffs act as evidence to the tremendous effort we've come to expect from one of the most durable and productive athletes in New York sports history.
