2007-08 Hideki Matsui New York Yankees game used bat is a stellar specimen. Mizuno model NY55 measures 34" and weighs 31.0 ounces, and is made of Maple wood. Moderate use is evident with a small handle crack, ball marks (including blue ink transfers) and stitch impressions, and NY55 is stamped into the knob. After playing with Japan's Yomiuri Giants, the man known as "Godzilla" set his sights on the United States and was a highly-heralded edition to the Bronx Bombers in 2003. He lived up to that promise with over 100 RBI in four of his first five seasons in the Bronx, with the only exception being an injury-plagued 2006 season. In another distinction of note, in 2003, Matsui became the first Japanese born player to hit a home run in the World Series. Comes with PSA LOA, graded a strong GU 8.
