2007 Jorge Posada New York Yankees Game Used Catchers Mitt (PSA)
<p>Presented is the chance to own a game worn Jorge Posada catcher's mitt. Posada played his entire 17-year MLB career with the New York Yankees, and he is a "Core Four" Yankee, With Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, and Mariano Rivera, Posada and the other "Core Four" players took four World Series titles in a span of five years. Posada was one of baseball's best hitting catchers as he hit .273 lifetime, with 275 home runs. The switch-hitter was a 5-time All-Star and won five Silver Slugger Awards. Posada is one of only five MLB catchers to have each of the following: 1,500 hits, 350 doubles, 275 home runs, and 1,000 RBI. The mitt is a Rawlings model ProJP20JC Lite Toe Gold Glove. It has "#20", Posada's number, embroidered in gold thread the wrist band and " Jorge Posada #20" embroidered in gold thread on the thumb. The glove shows light use. The enclosed PSA Letter of Authenticity states that the glove is made of "Heart of the Hide" tanned steer hide. The PSA LOA also states that the glove shows excellent use and the pocket and face of the web show even wear appropriate for a catcher's mitt used by Posada. The mitt is listed by PSA as (c) 2007. When Posada was a player in 2011 after all 17 of his MLB seasons were with the Yankees. Posada had offers from six other teams when he retired, but he stated, "I never could wear another uniform. I will forever be a Yankee." Posada loved to catch. he said, "I took a lot of pride at what I did at the plate, but I took even more pride in what I did behind the plate."</p>
