Displayed is an alternate team issued Chris Coste Philadelphia Phillies jersey for the 2008 season, a year when the Phillies became World Champions. Philadelphia in '08 was led by first baseman Ryan Howard, who had 48 homers and 146 RBIs, and second baseman Chase Utley, who bashed 33 home runs with 104 RBIs. Coste was a catcher on the Phillies in 2008, and he played in 98 games, with 274 official at bats. That season, he hit .263, with nine homers and 36 RBIs. In the World Series that year, the Phillies defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in games, as Coste played in one game, as a DH, and went 0-4. The team issued jersey has light use with a few loose threads. There is an 08 year tag inside, below the buttons. An MLB logo is on the back of the collar. The hologram number is FJ343066. The front of the jersey has "Phillies" in script with sewn on red letters, with a white outline and two blue stars. On the lower front tail is an Authentic Collection/Majestic manufacturer's patch, and underneath the above patch is a size 48 tag. The back of the jersey shows "COSTE" in sewn on red letters with blue trim. Below "COSTE" is "27," in sewn on red numerals with blue trim. The left sleeve has a "Majestic" manufacturer's patch. Overall, the team issued jersey is in excellent condition, and with its red, white and blue color scheme, it has great eye appeal.
