2008 Clayton Kershaw MLB Debut Game Used Baseball - Pujols Foul Ball (MEARS)
Offered here is an Official Major League (Selig) game-used baseball that came from the same game in which Los Angeles Dodgers pitching great Clayton Kershaw made his MLB debut. The date was May 25, 2008, and Kershaw started for the Blue Crew against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals. He pitched six strong innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs while striking out seven. This particular baseball is attributed to an Albert Pujols foul ball that was hit off Dodgers closer Takashi Saito during the 10th inning of that same game. The Dodgers wound up winning, 4-3, by scoring a single run in the bottom half of that same inning.
