2009 Tom Brady New England Patriots Practice Worn Jersey
2009 Tom Brady New England Patriots practice worn jersey is in excellent condition with nice use displayed. White mesh top has 02-XL collar strip tag, Reebok tail tag, NFL Equipment shield at base of collar above a Reebok patch, and Gillette patch on left breast. Number 12 in black is screened on front and back, Patriots logo in blue and red is screened on each sleeve. Use displayed includes a slight stain between the front numbers, as though tobacco juice or some other liquid was spilled. The 2009 season may have represented the biggest test of Brady's elite career. In the first game of 2008, against the Kansas City Chiefs, New England's prized quarterback suffered a knee ligament tear, ending his season practically before it began, with just 7 completions on 11 attempts. This presented a crucial and oft-forgotten part of TB12's legacy, as he returned without missing a beat, tossing 28 TDs in leading the Pats to a 10-6 record in '09 and an East Division title, earning AP Comeback Player of the Year honors. The GOAT's amazing durability is another part of his legacy, as he missed only 19 games from 2002 through 2023; 15 of them were during that injury-plagued '08 season, and the other four were serving his suspension for "deflate-gate" in 2016. This practice jersey is part of the start of the rest of his career, which included no less than four more Super Bowl trophies to add to the three he earned pre-injury. Comes with letter detailing provenance.
