2010 Brett Favre Minnesota Vikings 499th Touchdown Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched, Favre LOA)
From the "will he or won't he" era of Brett Favre's Hall of Fame career, this terrific jersey was game worn by the gunslinger when he threw his 499th career touchdown in 2010 with the Minnesota Vikings. Favre constantly flirted with retirement in the waning years of his career, prompting ESPN to devote an entire tab on their crawl to the indecisive superstar during the off-season, but he did ultimately retire following the 2010 season having thrown 508 career touchdown passes. The Southern Miss alum was the first quarterback in NFL history to pass for 500 touchdowns, throw for 70,000 yards, and complete 6,000 passes. He retired as the all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns, but has since been surpassed in both categories by Peyton Manning. Favre still holds the record for most pass completions and most consecutive games played at 297. The jersey is all original with "4" on the front, back, and both shoulders, along with a Captain's "C" patch and Vikings 50th Anniversary patch. "FAVRE" is sewn on a name plate on the back. There are custom sleeves and elastic around the bottom of the body, and "10-48" and "Q" are sewn in the collar (10 is for 2010, 48 for size, and Q for quarterback cut). The jersey shows light but definite use from the first half of the game and has been signed by Favre on the number on the back with "Game Used 9/26/10. Lions 10 Vikes 24. 499 tds," all in Favre's hand. Comes with Letter of Authenticity signed by Favre, photo of Favre signing letter, photo of Favre holding the jersey and photo of Favre wearing the jersey. Additionally it has been photo-matched.
