2011 USA Hockey President's Award Presented to Art Berglund
The President's Award is a prestigious honor bestowed by USA Hockey upon those deemed to have made significant contributions to hockey in the United States. Art Berglund is no stranger to such awards. Berglund, a mainstay of U.S. hockey as an executive, received the Lester Patrick Trophy in 1992, which is a similar honor to the President's Award. This beautiful trophy features two hockey players jockeying for position atop a wooden base (the sculpture is titled "Sudden Death" by artist Michael F. Roche). A plaque on the base is engraved "Art Berglund, The President's Award, June 11, 2011" along with the USA Hockey logo. It is NRMT.
