2013 Mariano Rivera Signed & Inscribed Game Used Yankee Stadium Bullpen Pitching Rubber (MLB & Steiner)
The greatest closer ever to grace the mound toed this rubber in the Yankees bullpen during a four-game series vs. Toronto in 2013, and he signed it, to boot. The hard rubber artifact was unearthed during the unanimous Hall of Famer's final Major League season, and it measures 24x 6x6". The Yanks swept the last-ever series at the old Stadium between the two AL East rivals, which began with a doubleheader on August 20 and concluded two days later. Rivera pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Game 2 of the twin bill and earned the win thanks to Jayson Nix's walkoff single. The superstar then closed out a 4-2 victory the next night with another clean ninth. Rivera's bold, fluid signature in black Sharpie dominates the item, and he notates "8/20/13-8/22/13 - Final Season" below. Included in the lot is a bag of dirt from Yankee Stadium. Please be advised that shipping may be expensive due to the weight of the rubber.
