2015 Aaron Hernandez Handwritten Letter to his Pen Pal Paramour
Stark letter belies the author's tragic fate in this handwritten letter from football star Aaron Hernandez to his pen pal while he served prison time for murder. Colorful 8.5x11" unlined Snoopy and Woodstock stationery gives a light-hearted air to the letter, which opens, "Listen Here Cowgirl" and includes the line, "... I'm in the hole and regardless another day in prison" while encouraging the recipient to continue their correspondence. His conviction cut short the promising tight end's NFL career, and he took his own life while behind bars on April 19, 2017. Includes original envelope with stamp from Massachusetts Corrections.
